  Intelligence

  this matter has been brought up for discussion here many times before, but for certain reasons i ask that you will patiently bear with me as i bring it up yet again.. what constitutes intelligence?

  is it (among many possibilities):.

  1) the mere accumulation of knowledge...factual information?.

  i remember coming home from a meeting one evening in a spiritually heightened mood and seeing all these lights dancing around in the sky.

  strangest thing i ever saw.

  Back in the early 60's when they were still doing the sonic booms from jets. Used to scare the s%&t out of me. I was only 6 but I thought it was Armageddon. Also anytime there was a bad storm.

  Sorry for losing Cheeko, FF. It being so sudden makes it even more of a shock. I hope the rest of your birds are okay.

  Your new site looks like it will be a wonderful place for broken hearted people to go. Good luck with it. I hope you find some comfort from it and you can help others thru their grief also.

  he shoveled the front walk and has been helping us clean the basement.

  So glad you found us. So many here felt the same as you. We were out there and just didn't know there was a party going on at Simons house. Now that you're here, the door is wide open. Come on in and have a seat. Stay as long as you like. I hope you find people you can connect with and start some great friendships. We have had many new ones lately.

  A Degree....... I can't do this.... HELP!!!

  having had my 1-2-1 with my boss yesterday on my performance in managing an acute surgical ward, she informs me that she expects me to commence a course in critical care at degree level commencing september.

  the reason being our surgical ward is being converted into a high dependancy unit (like an itu) and she wants me to manage it and gain the necessary skills.

  i already have a diploma in higher ed.

  You can do it Scooby. There is a bit of a difference between the first 240 and the last 120 points. Years of experience. You pick up alot that you don't think you do. You will breeze thru this. Look how far you have come so far. Good Luck.

  today i visited a dear one in the hospital.

  i was there on monday and he was having such a rough time, i wasn't able to go into his room.

  today, i arrived and peeked into his room, he saw me and waved me in.

  It's Award Season....Let's have a JWD "Academy Awards"

  this is the time of year for the "awards" shows.

  we have witnessed seen the people's choice awards, the golden globe awards, and the academy award nominations were announced today.

  i think it is time for the jwd awards.. every nominee is a winner.

  I'm really a pretty neat person and pretty smart too. I should listen to my own advice more often.

  Unless there was two witnesses they didn't do it. Unless the two witnesses didn't see anything. Wait a minute...if one dumb drunk, witness was a witness then that does make two witnesses. Right

  Vigil for my daughter, please.

  as mentioned in my other thread, my daughter lena is having brainsurgery on monday, jan 24. the surgery will last 6-7 hours, so i'm hoping the board members will be willing to make a special effort tomorrow to send positive thoughts, healing energy, good wishes and prayers her way.

  we are asking that the surgeon's hands be delicate and skillful and that lena does not bleed overmuch and that brain damage be minimal (if not non-existant).

  surgery begins at 8 am eastern standard time (us), but we have to have her to the hospital by 6 am, so this is "good night!
